This logo was created for an ongoing campaign run by The Portland Cement Association. In order to represent concrete, this logo was developed using a customized font that creates a stabilized structure by aligning the legs of the t, h, k, and d. In addition to alignment, a strong base was created using the word 'concrete' to further represent the material.

To further the paving advertisements, a billboard was put up along I-95 in Minnesota while it was being paved with Asphalt. The controversy of advertisement landed concrete with front-page news in newspapers, and on CBS News.
